The only way to create change is through a powerful idea that cuts to the core of a problem, and inspires us and others to take action on behalf of a higher purpose.
We believe that:
1). The executive does not own the business or organization, the business or organization owns the executive. We have the expectation that the executive or executive layer -and by implication, all of the managers, supervisors, and employees- will make decisions based upon their best efforts to advance the interests of the organization, balanced against the best interest of all of its employees.
2). Data will be made available to help determine why this may not be the case, or whether there are other external and internal variables that can help us identify the problem and its root cause. If no relevant data is available, then strenuous efforts will be made to collect pertinent information and data from all possible sources.
3). Sometimes businesses and organizations are created to achieve criminal, unethical, and immoral goals. All have a responsibility to resist such dysfunctional organizations, by increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our own institutions to challenge them.
4) The basis of all human action is cooperation. Cooperation does not mean obedience; it does not mean the abandonment of principles. It means to treat others as you would have them treat you; it means looking for the best possible solution given the time and resources available, and then taking actions that will create better solution options for the future.
